The publication, which will be published annually, was created in a function of the Gianni Franzone scholarship and intends to document, through essays by scholars and academics, the history, culture and visual arts of the period pertaining to the Wolfsoniana collection (1870-1950) with particular attention to topics related to decorative and propaganda arts and architecture. The publication’s aim consists in broadening the interpretative horizons and the study of the following topics: colonies and colonialism; propaganda languages; mobility and tourism in the industrial age; transformations of production processes (from decorative arts to design); tradition and modernity in architecture between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries; international exhibitions, fairs and exhibitions.
