The most important worldwide photojournalism exhibition

The exhibition shows the results of the 68th competition held by the World Press Photo Foundation, since 1955 a reference point for worldwide photojournalism. The competition rewards professional photographers from all over the world who, during the previous year, took pictures providing an authentic, accurate and engaging insight into the present time. The 42 winners were selected by an independent jury from among 59,320 submissions by 3,778 photographers from 141 countries. The photographs were initially evaluated by regional juries before being submitted to the final judgement of an independent global jury. The exhibition is being held in Genoa, as a national preview, and is organised by CIME, Brand Ambassador for World Press Photo in Italy, an organisation that promotes the development of local areas through cultural projects and events.
